Kiwisio Referral Program: How to Get a Free Month by Referring a Friend

The principle: one free month for you, one free month for your godchild

You use Kiwisio and know someone who employs a domestic worker, or who needs cleaning hours, childcare, or personal assistance? The referral program lets you offer them the service, and they thank you in return: both of you receive a free month of subscription.

No promo code to remember, no percentage discount: the program's unit is the month. A free month simply pushes back your next billing date by one month, with no invoice and no charge for that period.

How many months you earn

The plan used by your godchild is the one that counts. If they change plans later, no additional months are granted.

It doesn’t matter if your godchild is a stranger or someone you know, like your employer or your employee: the reward is the same.

Who can refer

You can refer as soon as you sign up: your code is available during your free trial and your subscription, no need to wait. If your trial or subscription ends, your code is deactivated, but the months you’ve already earned are kept for their full validity period.

Who can be referred

Your godchild must:

• never have subscribed to a paid plan;
• not be you: you can’t refer yourself;
• have only one referrer: the first code used is the valid one.

How your godchild uses your code

There are three ways to link a new account to your referral:

1. Your referral link. Share it via message, email, or the app’s share button. When your friend opens it, they land on the sign-up page, and the referral is automatically linked to their account.
2. Your code. Your godchild can enter it in the Referral section or the Subscription tab of their profile. This is useful if they installed the app from a store, where the link may have been lost. This field is only available if they’ve never paid.
3. A contact invitation. If you invite a contact via email from your address book, your code is automatically included: the referral is created when they sign up with that email.

If the code is unknown or the referrer is no longer active, the error message is intentionally the same: it reveals nothing about the referrer.

When the months become available

The two months don’t become available at the same time:

• Your godchild’s month is available as soon as they make their first payment.
• Your month is available once both withdrawal periods have passed: 14 days after your godchild’s first payment and 14 days after your own first payment. The later of the two applies.

If you’re still in your trial when your godchild subscribes, your month remains pending, and the Referral page prompts you to subscribe to unlock it. If you never subscribe, it expires 6 months after your godchild’s subscription.

If your godchild cancels or gets a refund before the 14 days are up, no months are granted for that referral. If the refund happens later (some store refunds can take weeks), any months not yet applied are canceled, but those you’ve already used remain yours.

You’ll be notified via a push notification or email (if you don’t use the app) as soon as your godchild subscribes and when your month becomes available.

How many months you can earn

To keep the program fair, months earned through referrals are limited to 6 months over a 12-month rolling period.

Beyond that, your months aren’t lost immediately: they’re held in reserve, up to a limit of 6 months, and automatically unlocked when the rolling period allows. Any month exceeding the reserve is lost.

Two key points:

• The month your godchild receives is never subject to this limit.
• A 2-month reward that only partially fits the limit is split: one month available immediately, the other held in reserve.

How to claim a free month

A free month doesn’t apply automatically: you claim it when you decide, from the Referral section, using the Claim my free month button. You have 6 months from when it becomes available. If you’re on an annual plan, this deadline is extended to 30 days after your next renewal, so you don’t lose a month due to your billing date.

What happens next depends on your subscription type:

• Credit card subscription. Your next billing date is pushed back by one month immediately, with no charge on the original date. You can stack multiple months.
• Google Play subscription. The next billing is postponed by one month on Google’s side, and Kiwisio notifies you of the new payment date.
• App Store (Apple) subscription. The month appears as a free offer in Apple’s payment sheet (Face ID or Touch ID), applied to your next renewal. If you’re on a monthly plan, Apple only allows one offer at a time: you claim one month per renewal, and the next becomes claimable afterward. If you’re on an annual plan, the claim option opens 30 days before your renewal, and all available months are grouped into a single offer (1, 2, 3, or 6 months).

Act before the deadline: Kiwisio sends you a reminder 30 days and 7 days before a month expires, and a few days before your renewal if a month is waiting for you.

What you need to know

• Free months have no monetary value: they’re neither transferable, exchangeable, nor refundable.
• Referrals are for legitimate use only. Fraud or abuse (multiple accounts, referring yourself, shared payment methods to gain months) may result in the referral being rejected and months not applied.
• Kiwisio may also award months as a one-time gesture, for example to thank someone for reporting a bug or suggesting an idea, or to compensate for an incident. These months don’t count toward the referral limit.
• The program may change: already earned months remain usable for their full validity period. The full rules are in Article 18 of the General Terms and Conditions.
