Cesu cost simulator
Enter your work days, hours, and net hourly rate to estimate the monthly employer cost over the year, factoring in public holidays, a possible contribution exemption, and the 50% tax credit.
What this CESU simulator is for
A net hourly rate is easy to quote out loud, but the amount that actually lands on the employee's account each month depends on the number of days worked, public holidays, and how paid leave is folded into the calculation.
On the employee side, the same questions keep coming up: what does this add up to over a full month? What changes when a public holiday falls on a normally worked day? On the individual employer side, the uncertainty is more about the real cost to bear: how much in social contributions gets added to the net salary, am I entitled to an exemption based on my situation, and how much tax credit will I actually get back?
This simulator answers both at once: it calculates the employee's net monthly salary month by month over a full year, then derives the actual cost for the employer after social contributions and the 50% tax credit.
It assumes public holidays are not contractually worked but remain owed to the employee: when a public holiday falls on a normally worked day, it is counted as such and increased by 10% of the hourly rate, in line with the applicable CESU rule.
Work days
These amounts are provided for guidance only, as of 29 September 2026, including 10% paid leave, based on the zone (Metropolitan France, Bas-Rhin/Haut-Rhin/Moselle, or overseas territories) inferred from the postal code entered, after applying the flat-rate deduction or, where applicable, the selected exemption.
This amount does not account for income tax withholding. Depending on the applicable rate, the net pay received by the employee may be affected; withholding has no impact on the amounts owed by the employer.
Depending on your situation, you may also be entitled to financial aid or other exemptions not included here.
The tax credit is capped at €6,000 per year (€12,000 of expenses), and this cap may be increased depending on the employer's personal situation.
